The mass adoption of mobile devices has changed the way we consume information. Audiences demand accurate information with a high entertainment value – few are as aware of this as news providers.

CNBC are one of the largest financial news sources on the web. They approached Freely with an idea for a content piece – ‘The Future of Retail’. Adhering to their web guidelines, Freely were to design and develop an interactive infographic that scaled across all devices.

The result was a virtual retail store, with interactive hotspots and future technology that transitioned from ‘hand drawn’ to ‘photo real’ when clicked. The use of parallax and animation encourages users to digest the information presented.
